The Team

The reconnaissance and excavations of the site of Uşaklı Höyük and the surrounding area has been possible thanks to the work and dedication of: archaeologists and students of the Universities of Florence, Pisa, Istanbul (Koç), Ankara (Bilkent), Yozgat (Bozok), Çorum (Hitit) and Paris (I Pantheon-Sorbonne), of the Inter-University School of Specialisation in Archaeological Heritage (Udine-Trieste-Venezia), of the Specialisation School of Archaeological Heritage of the Sapienza, University di Roma; of topographers and geologists of the University of Siena; of Hittitologist from the University of Florence; of Anthropologists from Hacattepe University of Ankara ; of labourers and the youths of Yozgat, Sorgun, Babalı, Şahmuratlı and Taşlık Köy who have worked in the field and provided invaluable assistance in resolving the numerous logistical and management problems that the expedition has had to face over the years.
